The 6th Annual Otis Redding Singer/Songwriter Camp
MACON, Georgia. — The Otis Redding Foundation presents the Sixth Annual Otis Redding Singer/Songwriter Camp June 17–21, 2013 at the Zuver Center of Mount de Sales Academy in Macon, Georgia.
The five-day music camp takes place from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. daily. Ages 13 to 17 are invited to participate. Lunch is included daily. The camp fee is $175.
During the week-long program, campers will experience:
• Fundamentals of songwriting, singing and production • Instrument “petting zoo” • Q&A session with professional singer, songwriters and producers • Workshops in lyric writing, voice lessons, instrument instruction and music industry-related topics • Education on performance, stage presence and branding • Musical awareness field trip • Recording compositions
The Big “O” Singer/Songwriter Camp is intended for students with varied musical knowledge; however, no previous musical experience is required. Areas of interest for students include:
• Instrumentation (name instrument) • Vocal • Engineering/Production • Music Management/Law/PR etc.
